Rocket Fizz soda and candy shop coming to Decatur
Need another place to settle your sugar and caffeine fix? Try Rocket Fizz. The soda pop and candy shop chain is coming to Decatur. As reported by Decaturish, Rocket Fizz is expected to open this summer at 113 Clairemont Ave., in downtown Decatur.
Rocket Fizz is known for its wide assortment of sodas and candies, much of it of the retro variety. The Rocket Fizz in Decatur will mark the fourth location for franchisee Richard Mashburn. He opened a Rocket Fizz in Chattanooga, Tennessee in September 2016. Just last month, Mashburn unlocked doors to a Rocket Fizz on the Marietta Square, and he’ll do the same later this month in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Decatur store will have the same exterior and interior look as its sister shop in Marietta, said Mashburn. The 2,200-square-foot space will be filled with nearly 400 flavors of soda, 500 types of candy and numerous novelty gift items.
“It’s a very fun store,” Mashburn said.
