Restaurants open on Christmas Day in metro Atlanta

Feeling “bah, humbug” about cooking for Christmas? Check out one of these metro Atlanta restaurants open on Christmas Day. 

Atkins Park. The Virginia-Highland restaurant will open at 5 p.m. Christmas Day for a buffet that features Big Green Egg-smoked turkey breast with caramelized apple and sausage stuffing and cider gravy; braised pork shoulder with roasted root vegetables and bourbon glaze; cranberry Grand Marnier compote; and pecan and pumpkin pie. The price is $30 for adults and $10 for children 10 and under.

Bangkok Station. Celebrate Christmas Day from noon-10 p.m. with free spring rolls for parties of two, one free Pearl of Bangkok sampler appetizers for parties of four, and one free Bangkok Hot Pot for parties of 10 or more. Dress as Santa and get $25 off your bill.

Chai Yo Modern Thai. Enjoy a Christmas Day dinner from 4-10 p.m. featuring several specials for the occasion.

The Farmhouse at Serenbe. Celebrate the holidays from 5-9 p.m. with a three-course menu with choices including wild mushroom "vol au vent" root vegetables and winter truffles, Colorado lamb loin wellington, truffle sauce and asparagus fricassee and a seasonal dessert.

Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. Head to Fleming’s from 4-9 p.m. Christmas Day for a three-course holiday menu starting at $85 and featuring entrees such as petite filet mignon served with North Atlantic lobster Tail or Crab-Stuffed Colossal Shrimp, and ends with a sumptuous dessert of Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake. Full dinner menu also available.

Gyu-Kaku. The Atlantic Station restaurant will be open from 11:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.on Christmas Day.

Hampton + Hudson. On Christmas Day, the restaurant will open at 6 p.m. and exclusively serve its Bo Ling Chop Suey Palace Pop-Up special menu alongside drink specials while “A Christmas Story” and football games play on televisions. Dishes will also be available to-go.

Hard Rock Cafe Atlanta. The downtown restaurant is open from 11 a.m. on Christmas Day, serving a special holiday menu with a choice of two or three courses.

Livingston Restaurant + BarHead to Livingston from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Christmas Day for a brunch buffet featuring fruit with orange blossom honey yogurt; spinach salad with feta cheese, blackberries, candied pecans and lemon vinaigrette; scrambled eggs with tarragon; and Louisiana crawfish étouffée. The cost, which excludes beverages, tax and gratuity, is $30 for adults and $15 for children 4-12, complimentary for children three and under.

STK. Open from noon-10 p.m. on Christmas Day, STK is offering a prime rib special featuring roasted “linz” prime rib with truffle Madera sauce for $58. A special for children includes a 4 oz. beef filet served with mac and cheese, sautéed broccoli and a slice of chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream for $24.

The St. Regis Atlanta. Get in the Christmas spirit with brunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with Santa Claus on hand to greet guests as well as live music. The menu features a cheese, charcuterie and smoked fish station, Sasanian caviar station, seafood and sushi stations, a carving station and more. Pricing is $165 for adults (includes full bar), $55 for children under 12 years old, and complimentary for children 3 and under.
