Before he made a splash in Midtown with Saltyard , Nick Leahy cut his teeth in the kitchen at Pacific Kitchen in Inman Park. The restaurant, which specialized in California cuisine with Asian and Mexican influences, opened in 2006 at 913 Bernina Ave. N.E. in a space previously occupied by vegetarian restaurant Lush (and has since been Park's Edge and currently serves as the second location of Victory Sandwich Bar).

Leahy took over for Chef Michael DeMarco, who started with the eatery when it opened in 2006.The menu, which focused on light, healthy choices with an emphasis on locally grown and organic produce, featured menu items including San Francisco cioppino, Hawaiian sea bass and Pacific snapper, as well as brunch offerings such as poached eggs with Tasmanian crab and house-smoked salmon; flat iron steak and eggs; peaches and cream French toast; and a spicy buffalo burger.
