A popular Atlanta Mexican restaurant is closing, but a similar menu will be popping up in a new spot soon.

El Mexicano announced on its Facebook page that it would close its doors on May 20 at 1341 Moreland Ave. SE after four years in business.

The owners of the restaurant are set to open Patria Cocina this summer in The Beacon development at 1039 Grant St. in Grant Park. The menu will feature Mexican staples including a variety of mole dishes, carnitas and ceviche, several gluten-free and vegetarian dishes and will also serve Sunday brunch.
