Pizza joint Al Forno's now open in Midtown and other Atlanta food news from the week

The new pizza spot from the owner of Bocado, Bocado Burger and AMER is now open.

Located at 27 12th St. NW, Al Forno's will serve up made-to-order but uncooked gourmet pizza delivered to your house or available for pickup at Al Forno’s (there's also a small dine-in area). Customers can choose from a menu of classic pizzas or create their own. The pies are ready to eat after baking in the oven for 5-7 minutes.

Seasonal ingredients including artichokes, arugula, broccoli and garlic are available to top and finish the pizza. Salads, sides and gelato are also on the menu.

Orders can be placed at www.alfornos.com. Al Forno's is open from 4-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 4-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
