Park Bench to bring dueling pianos, live music to The Battery next year

A popular dueling piano bar that recently sold its longtime space in Buckhead is opening a new location at The Battery Atlanta.

Park Bench will join the roster of entertainment and bar options at The Battery, the complex located next to SunTrust Park in Cobb County, during the 2020 Atlanta Braves season.

The 6,565 square-foot space will be home to a variety of performers and genres, including country, alternative and rock in the afternoon, the dueling piano concept in the evening and live bands late night.

“The Battery Atlanta has quickly established a reputation for offering the best live music and entertainment options to our guests,” said Jeremy Strife, senior vice president and general manager of the development in a press release. “We believe the energy at Park Bench will complement The Battery Atlanta’s preeminent dining, shopping, living, and entertainment experiences.”

The sale of the Buckhead location of Park Bench after 30 years at 34 Irby Ave. NW was announced earlier this month. The space was purchased by the owner of Stagecoach, the bar next door that dubs itself on its Facebook page as“Buckhead’s country bar”.

Park Bench also sold a Dunwoody location in 2000.

The bar will be located across from Wahlburgers and Cru Food & Wine Bar on the corner of Heritage Court and Battery Avenue. It will join several other entertainment concepts on that end of The Battery, including The Escape Game escape room concept and the forthcoming Silverspot Cinema movie theater, as well as mini-Asian food hall Ph’east.
