Out of this world ways to celebrate Star Wars Day in metro Atlanta

Break out your light sabers -- tomorrow is May 4, otherwise known in this galaxy as Star Wars Day. Celebrate the franchise with one of these metro Atlanta events.

Foundation Social Eatery. The restaurant's chef and owner Mel Toledo is a big "Star Wars" fan and is celebrating May 4 with a "May the Forks Be With You" promotion featuring themed cocktails and special dishes like the Boba Fett-(uccini) and Yoda Crème vanilla pot de crème alongside the regular dinner menu from 5- 10:30 p.m. while Chef Vader prepares meals in the Foundation's open kitchen. Guests who dine in costume or their favorite Star Wars garb will receive a complimentary canelé for dessert.

Local Three. Celebrate Star Wars Day with themed dishes including Light Saber Seared Scallops, Blistered "Dynamite" Yoda Fingers and Lando's Louisiana Crawfish Toastadas. Costumes are encouraged.

The Melting Pot. Atlanta-area locations  of the fondue restaurant will offer a themed four-course menu of R2Cheese2, Boba Feta Salad, Imperial Entree and choice of Dark Vader or Wookies & Cream Chocolate Fondue for $35 per person. Also look for $8 "cantina" Yoder-soda and Whiskey Sith cocktails. Dress from the Light or Dark side and tag the restaurant on Facebook to be entered to win a $100 Melting Pot gift certificate.

Old Fountain Tavern. The bar will offer themed drink specials, a Star Wars photobooth, live music, a costume contest and a Slow Pour Brewing Company tap takeover, all starting at 6 p.m.

Pontoon Brewing. The brewery is partnering with Good Mews Animal Foundation to host "May the Fur-th Be With You" to help find homes for cats. Look for drink specials, a Star Wars costume contest and a 50/50 raffle. A wristband that gets guests 5 drinks can be purchased for $25, $5 of which will go to Good Mews, and special pints will be sold from 3-11 p.m. with $1 benefiting the organization.

Reformation Brewery. The brewery is hosting "May the 4th Be With Brew," to meet some characters from the 501st Georgia Garrison , photo opps with a Star Wars selfie station, Star Wars Destiny game and pours of "Light Side vs. Dark Side" beers including Jedi Jude and Sith Cadence from 5-10 p.m. Food from Dominic's NY Pizza will also be available for purchase.

Several metro Atlanta bars are also participating in the event via "Light Side vs. Dark Side" pours on May 4 including the Georgia Beer Garden in Edgewood, Two Birds Taphouse in Marietta, Moondog Growlers in Dunwoody, Butcher & Brew in Alpharetta and My Parents' Basement in Avondale Estates.
