A little less than four months after Duane Nutter announced his departure from the lauded Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport restaurant One Flew South, an Atlanta native has been named the spot's new executive chef.

Jared Hall, who was born and raised in East Point, joined One Flew South when it opened in 2008 and most recently worked as sous chef. He attended the culinary program at Atlanta Technical College and received degrees at the Culinary Institute of America.  He previously worked in hotel and standalone restaurants.

Nutter left One Flew South to open a restaurant called Southern National in Mobile, Ala.  with business partner Reggie Washington. The pair also put in a bid to open a full-service restaurant at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and are eyeing spots in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur.
