“Beni’s Cubano is our way of exposing guests’ palates to the island of Cuba with authentic dishes and a genuine sense of hospitality. We want our guests to come back not just for the food, but also for the experience,” Beni's executive chef Cesar Velazquez said in a press release.

The new restaurant will transport diners to Havana with a menu of classic Cuban dishes like Cuban sandwiches and seafood criollo (a sautéed shrimp and mahi mahi dish in a Cuban-Creole sauce with sofrito, tomato and olives).

Among beverages, look for Cuban coffee, a Cuba Libre made with Havana Club añejo rum and served on the rocks with a Mexican Coke and a lime) and a house mojito.

The restaurant is a project by Southern Proper Hospitality, the same team behind Tin Lizzy's Cantina, Gypsy Kitchen, The Southern Gentleman and Milton's Cuisine & Cocktails.
