More than 40 spots to eat and drink on New Year’s Eve in metro Atlanta

It’s out with the old and in with the new -- ring in 2019 in the tastiest of ways at one of these metro Atlanta restaurants and bars.

5Church Atlanta. The restaurant is hosting Fire & Ice, a two-story party featuring two separate environments on two different floors with two different DJs. Begin the evening with a prix fixe dinner with champagne or go directly to the party, which includes open bars, party favors, a live countdown of the ball drop and a champagne toast at midnight. Dinner seatings are 5-5:45 p.m. for $80 per person, 6-6:45 p.m. for $85 per person and 7-7:45 p.m.  for $95 per person. Upgrades may be added for an additional cost so guests can enjoy post-dinner dancing, open bar and buffet during the Fire & Ice party from 10 p.m.-2 a.m.

10 Degrees South. The restaurant is offering a three-course prix-fixe dinner spotlighting dishes including 

Peri-Peri Chicken Rolls, a 12 oz NY Strip and Di’s Delight to end the evening on a 

sweet note. Tickets are $75 per person, gratuity is not included.

Adalina. The Italian restaurant will serve its regular dinner menu with some specials. Beginning at 10:30 pm, guests are encouraged to continue the celebration at the bar with cocktail specials, sparkling wine features, and live coverage of the Times Square Ball Drop. Once the clock strikes midnight, guests will enjoy a complimentary sparkling toast and late-night bites. Dinner reservations are encouraged, and seating times will be available until 9:30 pm.

The Alden. The restaurant is hosting its final Last Monday Supper series for 2018 on Dec. 31. The dinner features holiday fare such as oysters and caviar, Hudson Valley foie gras, Maine lobster bisque, peekytoe crab soufflé and beef Wellington. Tickets are $150 per person, and wine pairings are available for an additional cost.

Aria. The restaurant is offering a four-course prix fixe New Year’s Eve menu of modern American cuisine for $95 per person. Drinks, tax and gratuity not included.

Arnette’s Chop Shop. The restaurant is hosting a party from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. featuring live music, party favors, a balloon drop and a champagne toast at midnight. The regular dinner menu will be available.

Atkins Park. The Virginia-Highland restaurant has a special à la carte New Year’s Eve dinner menu and countdown party with champagne toast at midnight.

Atlas. Enjoy a four-course prix fixe dinner, live music and a complimentary champagne toast. Tickets are $150 per person and seatings are at 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. The Tavern at Atlas will also serve its menu of small plates.

BeetleCat. Enjoy a prix fixe menu with dishes including cobia crudo, pork meatballs, salt baked salmon, sweet potato noodles, NY steak, coconut pie, Mirabelle plum champagne sorbet. A late night party from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. in the restaurant’s Den area will feature champagne, full bar and a DJ. To-go boxes of assorted doughnuts will be available at the end of the night for $24. Tickets for the dinner are $65.

The Blind Pig Parlour Bar. The speakeasy bar is hosting an all-inclusive party featuring an open bar, party favors, hors d’oeuvres, live music, desserts and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $105 per person.

Cape Dutch. Enjoy a truffle-filled three-course menu followed by a celebratory champagne toast at midnight to Tickets are $95 per person, and reservations can be made from 5:30-10:30pm.

Chido & Padre’s. The restaurant is kicking things off with happy hour from 3-7 p.m. and will serve its regular menu all night along with specials, a DJ, party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

City Winery. The venue will host Atlanta Wine Festivals from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. featuring a buffet, spirits, beer and wine as well as live music and a DJ. Tickets are $99 in advance, $109 after December 22 and $119 the day of the event. VIP tickets are also available and include an 8 p.m. entry and access to exclusive VIP bars for $139 in advance and $149 after December 22. VIP tickets are not available the day of the event.

CRU Wine Bar. Ring in the New Year with a four-course prix fixe menu. Tickets are $55. The restaurant is also offering a champagne toast at midnight. Also look for DJs and live music.

Dantanna’s. Keep it simple with the restaurant’s full dinner menu, and watch the ball drop on one of the many flat screen TVs located throughout the restaurant and bar. Both locations will be open until midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar. The restaurant will serve a three-course prix fixe dinner including Alaskan King crab salad, red wine braised lamb shank and filet mignon. Tickets are $79 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairings and reserve wine pairings are available for an additional $29 and $49 per person, respectively. Guests can also ring in 2019 with a champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight.

Edgar’s Proof & Provision. The bar inside the Georgian Terrace Hotel is hosting a “Widespread New Year’s Eve” to complement Widespread Panic’s concert at The Fox Theatre across the street. The evening begins at 8 p.m. and features music and decorations, passed hors d’oeuvres and a toast with Miller High Life ponies.

The Federal. The restaurant is serving a special prix fixe menu alongside its regular à la carte menu from 5 p.m.- 12:30 a.m. Selections include oxtail French onion soup with aged Gruyere cheese, 12-ounce Jackman Ranch wagyu steak and apple tart with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce. Tickets are $150 per person, plus $45 for optional wine and spirits pairings. The Federal will also feature live music.

Foundation Social Eatery. Typically closed on Mondays, Foundation Social Eatery will open for a special dinner service from 5-10:30 p.m., featuring several holiday menu specials.

Front Page News. Atlanta Beer Festival will host the seventh annual New Beers Eve at Front Page News and Tijuana Garage from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. featuring a heavy appetizer buffet, well liquor, house wine and more than 40 beers. Also look for live music and a DJ. Tickets are $70 in advance, $80 after Dec. 22 and $95 the day of the event.

Gunshow. Normally closed on Monday, Gunshow is open from 5-9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, offering its regular service in addition to special items such as lobster, crab and caviar.

Gypsy Kitchen. The restaurant is serving a special five-course prix fixe menu beginning at 5 p.m. The meal begins with a croquette battle where guests can choose their favorite between roasted chicken with lime yogurt and blue crab with saffron aioli. Other dinner selections include charcuterie and cheese, grilled octopus, cocoa-dusted scallops, roasted root vegetable “paella,” butter poached monkfish, New York strip loin, South African lobster tail and churro bites. There will also be a DJ, party favors, a balloon drop and a Champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $70 per person, and reservations are required.

HOBNOB Neighborhood Bar. All three locations are hosting parties starting at 9 p.m. Tickets at the Midtown location include live music, all-you-can-eat pizza, bottomless beer and champagne from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. along with a balloon drop and party favors. The restaurant is also serving its regular menu and offering a lobster roll special until 9 p.m. Tickets are $49 per person (includes tip, excludes tax). The Brookhaven and Perimeter restaurants are hosting parties featuring their regular menus with a lobster roll special, a DJ and dance floor, champagne and bourbon flights, party favors and a balloon drop. Tickets are not required, but reservations are recommended.

Holmes. The restaurant is hosting a Great Gatsby-themed party with a five-course dinner. The special menu is $99 per person, plus $25 for house wine pairings or $50 for reserve wine pairings. Caviar service is available for an additional $25 per person.

JCT Kitchen. Try a variety of dishes for your last meal of the year at JCT Kitchen’s dinner with dishes including crab crioche, sweet potato agnolotti, pork tenderloin and a selection of desserts. Tickets are $70 per person, with coursed wine pairings available for an additional $30 per person.

Johnny’s Hideaway. The Atlanta mainstay is hosting a party including reserved seats and party favors at midnight. Tickets are $50 per person.

King + Duke. Before the clock strikes midnight, enjoy King + Duke’s three-course menu with options including Hamachi crudo, fig and mahon tart, roasted scallops, roasted duck, swordfish, coal roasted ribeye and a selection of desserts. A champagne toast will be offered at midnight. Tickets are $65 per person, with wine pairings available for an additional $35.

Marcel. The restaurant will be open for New Year’s Eve with special additions to its regular menu.

La Tavola. The restaurant is offering a three-course, prix fixe menu with dishes including roasted beet carpaccio, spiced lamb medallion and ricotta cappellacci. Tickets are $55 per person and include a complimentary glass of Prosecco.

Livingston Restaurant & Bar. The restaurant inside the Georgian Terrace Hotel is serving a special prix fixe menu plus a complimentary glass of Pol Remy Brut in place of its regular menu 5-11 p.m. Selections include braised pork belly bahn mi wraps, rib-eye, grilled vegetable mille feuille and rhubarb crumble. Tickets are $65 per person. A small selection from this special menu will also be served in the lounge area, which is open from 2 p.m.-2 a.m. and is hosting a New Year’s celebration featuring a DJ at 9 p.m.

Milton’s Cuisine & Cocktails. The restaurant is offering a three-course menu from 5 – 9 p.m. Selections include butter poached Royal Red shrimp, potato chips and caviar, bacon- wrapped wagyu sirloin and Champagne-vanilla bundlette. Tickets are $65 per person.

Miracle on Highland. Starting at 9 p.m., cozy up in the winter wonderland and take advantage of PARISH’s buffet, an open bar with cocktails, beer, wine and well spirits upstairs, and bourbon and bubbles downstairs. Tickets are $120 per person.

New Realm Brewing. Take advantage of an open beer bar featuring the release of a special Brut Rose ale, a full food buffet, live music and a DJ. Full bar is available from 8 p.m.-midnight, with a cash bar from midnight-1 a.m. Tickets are $100 per person.

no. 246. Hunker down with a three-course, prix fixe dinner offering choices such as stuffed mushrooms, crab tortellini, cacao e pepe, ggplant involtino and new York strip steak, plus a selection of desserts. Dinner is $65 per person, with an optional truffle supplement for $15.

The Optimist. Enjoy a three-course meal with choices including A-5 wagyu, roasted beets, crispy Spanish octopus, duck fat poached swordfish, and dry-aged ribeye, plus a selection of desserts including chocolate truffle tart and orange polenta cake. Tickets are $85 per person, with wine pairings available for an additional $30.

The Palm. The restaurant is offering a three-course, prix-fixe menu featuring The Palm’s Surf ‘n’ Turf dinner for two as well as options including a baby kale and apple salad, jumbo lump crab cake and dessert. Tickets are $195 per couple, with the option to toast with two glasses of Taittinger Brut La Française Champagne for an additional $25 per couple. The à la carte menu will also be available.

Park Tavern. Starting at 9 p.m., enjoy music from Yacht Rock Revue, an open bar, food including hors d'oeuvres, tacos, sliders, sushi and and s’mores. At midnight, guests will be treated to a champagne toast and can dive into a breakfast buffet that includes Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and breakfast burritos. Tickets are General Admission $125 for ages 21 and up and the Ultimate VIP Experience tickets are available for $200 and include champagne, oysters, sushi and wagyu beef from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the Yachty New Year’s Eve Party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Petite Violette. The restaurant will serve a six-course holiday menu from 5:30-9 p.m. featuring The meal begins hors d'oeuvres including Crêpe de Crabe and Shrimp Cocktail Trio; soups including Lobster Bisque; an intermezzo course of raspberry sorbet with champagne; entrees featuring shellfish, sea bass, beef filet, rack of lamb or duck breast; dessert including Chocolate Caramel Bread Pudding with rum butter sauce; and a glass of champagne. Tickets are $89.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity).

Ray’s Restaurants. Ray’s on the River in Sandy Springs, Ray’s at Killer Creek in Alpharetta and Ray’s in the City in downtown Atlanta will all offer a three-course, prix fixe dinner menu, live music from 10 p.m.-1 a.m., dancing from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. and a champagne toast at midnight. The bar at Ray’s in the City will be open until 1 a.m. Tickets are $85 per person.

Revival. The restaurant is featuring a four-course tasting menu that includes dishes such as grilled oysters, braised beef short rib, wood grilled salmon and caramel apple pie. Tickets are $75 per person and wine, sparkling wine and beer pairings are available for an additional $25.

The restaurant’s New Year’s Eve Moët & Chandon Celebration will feature dinner from 5:30-10:30 p.m., an open bar beginning at 9 p.m., a DJ, New Year’s Eve party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $95 per person. Guests can also choose a Moët & Chandon Champagne Ice Impérial option that includes a 750ML Bottle and a dinner reservation for two guests for $150 per person; the Moët & Chandon Champagne Magnum Bottle experience that includes a dinner reservation for four guests for $225 per person; or the Moët & Chandon Champagne Public School Limited Edition Bottle experience that includes a dinner reservation for four guests for $325 per person. Tax and gratuity are not included in any package.

Seed Kitchen & Bar. Enjoy a three-course prix fixe dinner with selections including Maine lobster with parsnip roasted mushroom risotto and truffle foam and San Marzano braised veal osso buco. Solis Two Porsche Drive. Cheers to the New Year at Solis Two Porsche Drive’s in-house restaurant Apron. The Mediterranean restaurant will be ringing in 2019 with several New Year’s Eve specials alongside the regular dinner menu, live entertainment, champagne toast at midnight, cocktails, party favors and more. Dinner seating times include 6 and 8:30 p.m.

Southern Art. Ring in the new year with an evening of Southern-inspired dishes from a prefix menu, signature drinks and a performance by Nick Longo. The New Year’s Eve dinner is $65 per person.

The Southern Gentleman. The restaurant is offering offering a four-course prix fixe menu featuring such dishes as smoked trout ho-cakes, baby kale salad, smoked wagyu short rib, crackling pork shank, quinoa and farro risotto and sweet potato-bourbon pecan pie. Guests will also enjoy live music, party favors, a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $70 and reservations are required.

The Sun Dial. The restaurant is offering a special menu featuring dishes such as butter poached lobster with marble potatoes, andouille sausage and baby corn and filet mignon with roasted garlic potato puree, baby carrots. Tickets are $125 per person plus tax and gratuity. For guests wanting to skip dinner and enjoy live entertainment and fireworks from downtown Atlanta, the Sun Dial Bar will be open beginning at 8 p.m. with a $25 cover charge.

Trade Root at The Whitley. The multi-course dinner includes a champagne toast, valet parking and entry into the hotel’s New Year’s Eve Bash.
