Roswell’s historic district has a new place to grab a bite and a drink.

Chipper’s Club, a “trendy, modern American” restaurant according to co-owner Carl Thompson, opened earlier this month at 659 Atlanta St.

The menu, developed by executive chef Michael Gambini, features comfort food dishes such as shrimp and grits, meatloaf and fried chicken as well as grilled fish and gluten-free and vegetarian options.

“It’s photogenically delicious food every single time,” Thompson said.

The restaurant also features a full bar.

The building maintains a rustic feel with some more up-to-date touches including modern dishes and floors.

Chipper’s Club gets its name from co-owner and Roswell native Terry “Chipper” Gromholm.

The restaurant is open from 4-10 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday, with live music featured Thursday-Saturday.
