If you were heartbroken about Atlanta staple El Mexicano closing its doors at the end of May, here's some good news for you.

Patria Cocina, from the team behind El Mexicano, is set to open its doors July 9 at 1039 Grant St. at The Beacon development in Grant Park, according to its Instagram account:

The restaurant -- which is still working on getting its liquor license -- will serve many items that will be familiar to fans of El Mexicano including a variety of mole dishes, street tacos, carnitas and ceviche. Also look for gluten-free and vegetarian options and Sunday brunch.
