Marietta Square set to get a barbecue spot after Mexican restaurant closes

A Marietta Square Mexican restaurant has closed its doors, with a barbecue joint slated to replace it early next year.

Hawg and Ale Smokehouse will replace Chantico Burrito Cantina, which closed last month at 25 Powder Springs St., Marietta Daily Journal reports.

Vice president of marketing Buddy Finethy, who previously worked at as a senior creative director at Mellow Mushroom, told the MDJ that Hawg and Ale's offerings aren't "run of the mill."

The menu features items including chicken, pulled pork, brisket, burgers, wings and sides. The spot will also have a full bar.
