With the Kentucky Derby this weekend, it's officially time to break out your fanciest hat and sip on a mint julep.

Woodford Reserve master distiller Chris Morris gave The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Bo Emerson a step-by-step how-to for making this official drink of the Kentucky Derby.

Morris' Mint Julep hints at flavors that highlight the derby's British origins. The recipe includes Earl Grey bitters, Woodford Reserve Mint Julep simple syrup and a garnish of dehydrated blue cornflowers.
