An Atlanta Thai restaurant is expanding to Midtown this summer.

26 Thai Kitchen & Bar is set to take over the space at Juniper St. NE previously occupied by Chinese restaurant MuLan, which closed early last year.

It will be the second location for 26 Thai, which opened at 541 Main. St. in Lindbergh Center in 2016.

The general manager for the new location said the food and drink menu for the Midtown spot will be largely the same as the Lindbergh restaurant, “with a few twists”.

26 Thai is owned by Niki Pattharakositkul, a 2012 Georgia State University grad who grew up in Thailand and learned traditional recipes and cooking techniques from her family. Her family also owns Wild Ginger in Chamblee.
