A popular local pizzeria is set to open a second location at Krog Street Market.

Varuni Napoli is slated to open in winter 2017. The Neapolitan-style pizzeria will be located at the south end of the market adjacent to Jeni’s Ice Cream, Ticonderoga Club, The Luminary and Craft Izakaya.

The 800-square-foot location will feature an open area space behind the bar, so customer can watch their pizza being made. The restaurant is experimenting with a new pizza specifically for the Krog Street Market location, and beer, wine and house-made limoncello will be offered.

Owner Luca Varuni, who studied pizza making in Naples, Italy, opened his restaurant in Morningside at 1540 Monroe Dr. in April 2014.
