Chef Praveen Sharma is in as executive chef at Amara in Inman Park.  Sharma's arrival also mean sizeable changes to the menu.

Amara opened late last year with a carte of contemporary Indian-American dishes.  That menu was devised by its executive chef Bhavesh Patel, who was replaced four months after the restaurant opened with back-of-house team from its sister restaurant Tabla . However, with Sharma in the kitchen, the restaurant will shift from fusion to classic Indian food.

Sharma brings more than 20 years of experience and has worked in kitchens around the world, including at several 5-star rated hotels in New Delhi, India.

Already busy in the kitchen, Sharma is currently developing a new menu for Amara, which should be ready by the July 4 holiday.
