Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market won't be the only food hall games in town for long.
Caravaca Market, a gourmet food hall from chef Harry Pagancoss, is set to open in late fall in Midtown.
The 6,000 square-foot space at 782 Peachtree St. will feature a season "taste bar," wine bar that will also sell charcuterie and cheeses, beer and pizza bar, Provisions Market, "Harry Bakes" bakery and an outdoor patio.
Dishes will include offerings from various continents and cultures including Icelandic lamb, Peruvian ceviche, gluten-free Mexican tlayudas, mozzarella wraps, Brazilian and
Italian sandwiches, gelato and baked goods and pastries such as Brazilian roll cake, Puerto Rican mallorcas and alfajores.
Pagancoss, who named the project for the Spanish town of Caravaca de la Cruz, first announced his plans for the market in March 2016 . A native of Puerto Rico, he hosted Turner's Latin American travelogue GPS: Guided
by Flavors and has appeared on shows for Univision, NBC Telemundo and TV Azteca.
Caravaca joins several other recently-opened or soon-to-open food hall concepts in metro Atlanta, including Main & Main at Colony Square; Marietta Square Market; The Canteen micro food hall; and an Alpharetta food hall concept.
