The Grant Park location of coffee shop Revelator Coffee Company -- formerly Octane -- has launched a new South Korean pop-up.
Anju, which means "food consumed with alcohol," offers a new take on traditional South Korean bar food such as savory pancakes, fish dishes and noodles. Helmed by Seoul native Chef James Murphy, formerly a chef at Kimball House and Gaja, Anju will run indefinitely starting at 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday.
In conjunction with the pop-up, Revelator Coffee rebranded Octane Coffee’s Grant Park location at 437 Memorial Drive SE under the Revelator banner.
Revelator Coffee acquired Octane Coffee in April 2017 ; both brands have been roasting together since that time and Octane's co-founder, Tony Riffel, remains active as Revelator's director of retail. The changes to the Grant Park location will be focused on signage and updates to interior surfaces and finishes; the menu and service should remain unchanged.
A representative for Revelator said there are no immediate plans to rebrand the existing Octane locations in West Midtown, Midtown and Tech Village. Revelator owns several other stand-alone coffee shops and in-store counters in metro Atlanta, and recently opened Mourning Dove in Shops Buckhead Atlanta.
