Today's Google Doodle, the Google logo art seen by hundreds of millions of people every day, honors food service workers for their labor in the face of the coronavirus pandemic. As part of a two week series honoring coronavirus helpers, the doodle depicts an animated heart floating from the uppercase G in "Google" to the lowercase E, which is drawn as a chef complete with toque, spoon, and a stack of takeout items.

Previously, the Google Doodle has paid homage to farmers and farm workers, grocery workers, doctors, nurses, emergency responders and even sanitation and custodial workers.

“We’re beginning a series of Doodles to recognize the many people responding to COVID-19 — from doctors and nurses caring for people on the front lines, to teachers and food service workers ensuring essential goods and services are still available,” said Google in a statement.
