Deep-dish pizza fans have one less spot to get their fix as of this past weekend.

Gino's East closed its doors Monday at 675 North Highland Ave. NE in Poncey-Highland, What Now Atlanta reports.

The Chicago-style pizza eatery opened in December and served pizzas along with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, and #DeepAF pizzas which featured "more dough, extra cheese and double the toppings," according to a press release.

A leasing representative for the building said the closure was “abrupt and unexpected.”

The shuttering follows the closure of another pizzeria, Rize Artisan Pizza, in the same space in 2017.

A representative for Gino’s told the AJC that “at this time, we have no comment.”
