A Midtown bar is now closed after 10 years in business.

Flip Flops closed last week at 1140 Crescent Ave. NE, according to a post on its Facebook page. The post also alludes to a new concept and directs customers to visit the club District Atlanta.

Owner Ace Amerson also confirmed the closure in an Instagram post, with a letter from the business' landlord regarding the lease.

In addition, the Koo Koo Room, which is located underneath Flip Flops, is currently closed for renovations according to a post on its Facebook page.

The AJC has reached out to Amerson -- a Georgia Southern University graduate and an alumnus of the MTV show “Real World -- for more details.
