News is out that another Atlanta comfort food classic is closing after some 70 years in business. Decaturish reports that Emory area meat-and-three, Evans Fine Foods, will soon go the way of the Silver Grill and Carver's Country Kitchen.

Last year, the AJC published a recipe for escalloped tomatoes from the menu of Evans, provided by Pete Kontoes, co-owner of the restaurant with his brother Mike.

Stay tuned for more details on the closing.
