An Atlanta caterer is expanding with a sit-down restaurant.

Hecter's Kitchen will celebrate its grand opening in the Sweet Auburn District on June 15, but has already started serving customers.

Menu items include appetizers such as fried pickles and parmesan crab dip; breakfast dishes and salads; sandwiches and burgers; chicken and seafood dishes; other; and other entrees including lasagna and a mac and cheese waffle. All entrees come with sweet tea or lemonade and dessert.

Owner and chef Keith Hand, a Forest Park native who also owns Atlanta-based Bridge Catering, has worked in food service for more than 25 years, including stints in hotel management and banquet and catering director at The Colony Beach and Tennis resort in Florida.

Hecter's Kitchen is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
