ORIGINAL STORY: Revival is kicking off 2017 with a treat for brunch lovers.
Chef Kevin Gillespie's popular Southern spot will begin serving Sunday brunch on Jan. 8.
The menu is still in development, but some Gillespie family recipes as well as favorites from executive chef Andreas Mueller have made the cut, including the Closed-on-Sunday chicken sandwich ad a griddled meatloaf sandwich with cheddar on a caramelized onion roll. Other likely dishes include a scrambled egg and crepe casserole with truffle mornay, smoked ham and onion breakfast strata and catfish bites over grits with gravy.
Mueller has been testing dishes for Revival's brunch menu at Eddie's Attic for the past year. "The feedback allows us to hit the ground with an entire brunch menu of home runs," he said.
Brunch will be served from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sundays. The restaurant also serves dinner starting at 5 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays.
In addition to Revival, Gillespie also owns and operates the adjoining beer garden, Communion , as well as Gunshow in Glenwood Park as part of his Red Beard Restaurants group.
