A spot for "New American" cuisine has closed its doors in Chamblee.

Union Hill Kitchen, which was located at 5336 Peachtree Road, closed on Dec. 22, Tomorrow's News Today first reported.

The restaurant announced the closure on its website:

"Union Hill Kitchen will close our doors permanently on Friday December 22, 2017.   It has been a fantastic 5 years serving all of our guests.  Thank you for the  years of business, support and many many cherished friendships."

The eatery first opened its doors in late 2013. Chef Alexis Hernandez, a former contestant on "The Next Food Network Star," created a menu that included a variety of salads, soups, flat bread pizzas and entrees for lunch and dinner.
