Ole! It’s National Tequila Day! This Mexican spirit is made by steaming the hearts of the blue agave plant, then mincing the pulp, combining it with water and fermenting to make a distilled and bottle spirit. The bottle must contain at least 51 percent blue agave to be classified as tequila. So how are you going to get in the “spirit” to celebrate? We’ve got a round-up of some tequila cocktails.
Multiple locations
All locations are featuring one-ounce pours of 1800 tequila for $2, so pick your elixir- will drink it straight or top it off? House margaritas are $4, but if you want to venture to a more creative imbibe, the coconut-infused tequila with orange liqueur and sour mix give pina coladas a run for their money.
