Food delivery has expanded well beyond Chinese take-out and pizza. Today, Caviar, a high-quality delivery service, launches in Atlanta.
Instead of ordering a simple meal or sandwich for lunch, you can order hanger steak, catfish rillettes in a jar or a lobster cobb salad. Caviar has teamed up with favorite local restaurants in the city to deliver meals to your office or house. Whether you’re looking to cater a business lunch with some local flair, or you’re clocking another late night at the office, options vary from a “farm egg with Carolina gold rice” at Hugh Acheson’s Empire State South or a “mixed vegetable uttapam” from Chai Pani.
“Atlanta is a bustling city full of busy folks that appreciate fine food, but delivery options have long been limited,” said Geoff Bachrodt, the General Manager of Caviar’s Atlanta office. "Now, hungry Atlantans can bid goodbye to greasy takeout and order the best meals that the city has to offer for lunch at the office or dinner at home downtown with Caviar.”
Caviar is offering a discount to Atlanta residents for the launch, which is available when you place your order. A list of participating restaurants include:
- Bell Street Burritos
- The Pie Shop
- 7 Hens

They take a leaf from Uber and offer real-time GPS tracking, so that you can track the status of your order. Order times are listed on the website, and you can place your orders up to a few days in advance. Large-party catering is also available.
Atlanta joins 17 other markets that use Caviar, including Brooklyn, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
