A new spot for seafood will soon drop anchor in the Old Fourth Ward.
Concentrics Restaurants is set to open Bully Boy at 828 W10 Ralph McGill Blvd. off the Eastside Beltline by the end of October or early November, Eater Atlanta first reported.
Michael Bertozzi, who serves as the executive chef at Two Urban Licks, just steps from where Bully Boy will be, will also helm the kitchen at the new eatery.
Bertozzi will be serving "American coastal fare with global influences in a high energy atmosphere," according to an email from a representative for Concentrics. Also look for craft cocktails, local beers and an "esoteric, yet approachable, wine program" curated by advanced sommelier Justin Amick of Painted Hospitality, which owns The Painted Pin and The Painted Duck.
“I have always wanted to use this name for a restaurant,” says Concentrics owner and president Bob Amick in an email. “It was the name of my parents’ favorite restaurant in the New York City area where I grew up and the first nice restaurant I ever ate at as a child. Chef Michael is going to be doing some really lively, smart, brash cooking with ingredients from the East Coast’s land and sea. All of us are excited to see the reaction to this Beltline spot. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The 100-seat Bully Boy, which will be located in the space formerly home to the now-shuttered Concentrics ramen concept Nexto, will be open for dinner seven days a week.
In addition to Two Urban Licks and Bully Boy, Concentrics also operates Parish, Allora , Room and Molly B's at Mercedes-Benz Stadium as well as restaurants in several other cities. It also owned the recently-closed One Midtown Kitchen, Nexto and Tap Gastropub.
