Looking for a boozy frozen treat? Then get ready for Suga and Ice, a new ice cream shop that offers alcohol-infused ice cream.
Suga and Ice will be located at 3095 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., in Duluth. It opens this Saturday, June 24.
The menu includes both alcohol-infused and nonalcoholic ice cream flavors. Among the former, look for 12 flavors, including Blueberry Mojito, Pina Colada and Guiness Chocolate Chip. According to co-owner Nicole Legister, the booze-infused flavors have an alcohol content between 1 and 2 percent. The dozen alcohol-free choices range from Madagascar Vanilla to Mango Rice to Caramelized Banana.
Legister, along with her business partners and sisters Nyasha Small and Tesheka Small, has plans to offer more than 30 rotating flavors.

The ice cream is available in a cup or a waffle cone. Waffle cones, made in-house, come in four flavors: regular, chocolate, sweet potato and red velvet. Miniature gluten-free cones are also available.
While ice cream marks the "Ice" part of the concept, the "Suga" half of things includes sweets like cupcakes, cookies and doughnuts.
Specialty items see "Suga" and "Ice" combinations like the Smooshie Bun, an ice cream sandwich made with a doughnut. A warm, glazed doughnut custom made by Krispy Kreme (The doughnut doesn't have a hole in the middle.) gets sliced in half and filled with your choice of ice cream, then drizzled with your choice of toppings like chocolate syrup, sprinkles, chopped almonds or Fruity Pebbles cereal. Ice cream sandwiches made with chocolate chip, sugar or caramel nut cookies are also available.
