The owner of two local Indian restaurants is entering the North Fulton market with a new spot in Roswell.

On May 18, Ricky Walia and Sunny Minhas will open the doors to Bombay Brasserie at 900 Mansell Road in Mansell Oaks Plaza, near the corner of Alpharetta Highway in Roswell. Walia also owns Cafe Bombay at 2615 Briarcliff Road NE and Masti at 2945 N Druid Hills Road, both in Atlanta.

The new restaurant will offer traditional Indian dishes including chicken tikka masala, vegetable pakoras and meat samosas but will also incorporate Chinese, European and American influences in new dishes such as lamb chops spiced with cumin, coriander, garlic, ginger and chiles, grilled tandoori salmon and mustard greens with spinach, Indian butter and cornbread.

Walia and Minhas custom-ordered two clay tandoori ovens from Jaipur, India. “It took two and a half months to get them, but it was worth the wait,” Walia said in a statement. “Our guests have a front row seat to a great performance.”

The restaurant will also offer a full cocktail menu featuring drinks infused with cumin, coriander, turmeric and beetle leaves, as well as a variety of craft beers and wines. Offerings also include belly dancing on Friday and Saturday nights, a selection of hookahs and patio seating.

Lunch and dinner will be served seven days a week.
