Like most food television hosts, Travel Channel "Bizarre Foods"guy Andrew Zimmern is often effusive about the places he visits and the things he eats. But  Zimmern seemed especially excited about his trip to Atlanta, the chefs he met, and the things he tried here.

The "Bizarre Foods: Atlanta Monkfish Liver & Goat" episode that aired last night created a lot of social media buzz. And it was a kick to see so many of the places and people we know and love on the show.

Among them: Hugh Acheson shopping at Buford Highway Farmers Market; Margaret Cho chowing down at Jeju Sauna; pastry chef Taria Camerino and sculptor Karen Portaleo making a Zimmern cake; chef Linton Hopkins showing off house-cured meats at Holeman & Finch; chefs Cody Taylor and Jiyeon Lee smoking pork at Heirloom Market BBQ; and chefs Nhan Le and  Angus Brown cooking at Octopus Bar and butchering and cooking at Decimal Place Farm.

Nice job of presenting the diversity and energy of Atlanta's food and dining scene!
