After a series of delays, Atlanta chef/restaurateur Ford Fry (JCT. Kitchen, No. 246, The Optimist, King + Duke, St. Cecilia, The El Felix, Superica, Marcel) will open BeetleCat on Monday Dec. 28 in the new Inman Quarter mixed-use development on Elizabeth Street. And it will open with its liquor license.

The casual oyster bar and seafood spot is billed as a “shore-style, casual cocktail lounge with a coastal ’70s and ’80s vibe.” Chef Andrew Isabella will helm the kitchen, with support from Fry’s vice president of culinary,  Kevin Maxey. The small plate menu will encourage guests to mix and match and share offerings such as wood-roasted crab, octopus and clams.

BeetleCat will be open for dinner 5-10 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays, 3-11 p.m. Saturdays, and 3-10 p.m.Sundays. But on Fridays, hours are 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., with a special lunch menu early. Look for late night hours 11 p.m.- 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
