Q. What beer should you drink while you're watching the Falcons beat the Patriots?

A. A fresh Pilsner from a Georgia craft brewery.

Sparkling, refreshing and appropriately hoppy, in one form or another, the golden style of lager known as Pilsner has been the world’s most popular beer for a very long time.

And as such, it’s the kind of beer that will appeal to both your Miller-drinking uncle and your beer geek neighbor.

Pilsners can reveal a delightful dance of malts and hops with a depth of clean, crisp flavors and wonderfully subtle aromatics. Add lively carbonation, and you have a glass of bubbly magic that really is the champagne of beer.

What’s more, pilsner is a versatile match for a wide variety of game day food, be it hot dogs, burgers, barbecue, chicken wings, nachos or pimento cheese.

Try these three Georgia-made Pilsners at your Super Bowl party.

Creature Comforts Bibo Pilsner — A favorite on draft since the brewery opened, it's now available in cans as a year-round offering. Brewed with a blend of Czech Saaz, Sterling and Motueka hops, it has a classic Pils character with a touch of fruitiness.

Terrapin Sound Czech Pils — Originally part of a one-off series benefiting the Georgia Theatre, it's now a year-round offering. Brewed with 100 percent Pilsner malt and Czech and German hops, it has a crisp, sophisticated essence worthy of an Old World lager.

Three Taverns Prince of Pilsen — First brewed as a special summer beer in honor of the World Cup, this Euro-style lager, dubbed "a hoppy pilsner," is dry-hopped with American Falconer's Flight 7-C's and features distinctive floral and citrus aromas and flavors.
