Sadly, baseball season has been postponed. But Terrapin has a new beer release, Los Bravos Mexican Style Lager, that may help a bit while you’re watching reruns on ESPN.

Originally brewed in 2017 at the ATL Brew Lab at the Battery, next door to the home of the Braves, this easy drinking beer has been a fan favorite of visitors at the Terrapin Taproom during baseball season.

Los Bravos will be in stores in 6-packs of 12-ounce cans, as well as 4-packs of 16-ounce cans, starting in April. But right now, it’s available for curbside pick-up at the Terrapin brewery in Athens, along with plenty of other Terrapin beers.

And guess what? Los Bravos is this week’s pick-up Beer Pick.

Profile

A fan favorite of visitors at the Terrapin Taproom in Atlanta during the Braves baseball season, Los Bravos Mexican Style Lager is described as “a crisp and slightly sweet beer.”

It’s brewed with Pilsner and Vienna malts, plus flaked corn, and a combination of Mt. Hood, Saaz, and Tettnanger hops. The result is a pale American lager with German roots, and just enough spicy and floral Noble hop aromas and flavors to balance the pleasantly malty sweetness, before a refreshing hint of bitterness in the finish.

Terrapin says Los Bravos “complements any spicy dish and helps keep any fiesta fueled.” But beyond the obvious Mexican favorites, it would work well with all kinds of Latin and Asian dishes.
