In Atlanta: 4 delish food events for the week ahead

Oh, what to do!
Get out of your dining quandary and get going! From an Italian cooking class to parties to a special finger lickin’ Southern fried chicken dinner, these four events will keep your mood festive and your stomach full.
Venkman's: Ready to rock out? Legendary Joe Gransden has found a new home at Venkman's and will host a jazz jam at 9 p.m. every Tuesday night. Want to keep the party going? Swing by at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 for Chicken Pickin', a live bluegrass night featuring Georgia Crackers. For the latter, tickets are $3 at the door. Be sure to indulge in chef Nick Melvin's classic comfort cuisine on both nights, too.
Southbound: #AllThingsYum. Dive into good 'oe fashioned fried chicken—brined overnight, soaked in buttermilk and coated with gluten-free dredge—during Fried Chicken Wednesday. For $20, guests will receive a serving of the aforementioned plus mashed potatoes, a seasonal veggie and more.
Bellina Alimentari: That's amore! This Ponce City Market restaurant will be hosting a cooking class called Italian Kids Lunch Box from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14. Participants will learn quick, easy and fun lunchbox recipes. Tal Baum, owner and mom, will offer a cooking demo. The cost is $45 per person. Click here to register.
