The 13th season of Bravo's "Top Chef" will feature an Atlanta cheftestant: Chef Wesley True of The Optimist . With a two-night premiere event at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 and Thursday, Dec. 3, viewers will see Chef True and crew—16 other cheftestants—embark on a gastronomic road trip up the coast of California. Filmed entirely in the Golden State, the cheftestans will spice up the competitive culinary journey with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Oakland and the Greater Palm Springs area.

In addition to the usual high-pressure kitchen and Sudden Death Quickfire challenges, cheftestants will go knife-to-knife in new challenges, which includes catering a gay wedding and a plating competition, where the winner and loser will be determined by Instagram fans.

Throughout the season, the chefstestants will be tasked with serving food for a myriad of culinary stars and celebrity guest judges including Empire State South’s owner Hugh Acheson.

The judges table will feature host Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Richard Blais and Emeril Lagasse who cumulatively will decide if Chef True will stay or pack his knives.

This season’s winner will receive $125,000 furnished by San Pellegrino, a feature in "FOOD & WINE" magazine, a showcase at the annual "FOOD & WINE" Classic in Aspen and the coveted title of “Top Chef.”
