The largest production distillery in Georgia is slated to open its third area location at The Battery Atlanta.

ASW Distillery will open a new space featuring a tasting room, a production facility to house stills, a small batch bottling operation and a cocktail program this spring. The 3,514 square-foot facility will be located across from Good Game powered by Topgolf Swing Suite on the corner of Legends Place and Battery Avenue.

ASW, which was started by Jim Chasteen and Charlie Thompson in 2011 with master distiller Justin Manglitz joining the operation in 2015. ASW, the first whiskey distillery in Atlanta since Prohibition, has locations at 199 Armour Drive and 1000 White St.

"The Atlanta Braves have been such an integral part of Georgia history for over  50 years,” said Chasteen in a prepared statement. “The state has likewise been home to a rich tradition in whiskey-making that we've been excited to help revive. Bringing these two traditions together is like a dream come true for us. The Braves Development Company has been an absolute joy to work with, and we are beyond thrilled about this partnership."

The ASW location in The Battery will offer public tasting hours and walk-up tour experiences, as well as educations cocktail programs. ASW will also introduce and distill a new vodka and gin onsite.

ASW will join many other food and beverage concepts at The Battery Atlanta, which adjoins the newly-anointed Truist Park, including the new Asian food hall Ph'east, River Street Sweets, and more.
