-- Antico Pizza owner Giovanni di Palma is taking over the space at 1099 Hemphill Ave. next to his Gio's Chicken Italiano, Tomorrow's News Today reports. di Palma will open Antico Laboratorio, a "glass-enclosed dough room, offering an elevated version" of Antico Pizza using special dough he blended himself in Italy. Set to open in October, Laboratorio will join di Palma's other ventures including Antico, Gio's, Caffe Antico and Bar Amalfi in West Midtown and Antico locations at Avalon in Alpharetta; the Atlanta Braves' SunTrust Park; and the soon-to-open Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

--Tyler See is in as executive chef at West Midtown spot Ormsby's, promoted from sous chef in July. The Atlanta native is a Le Cordon Bleu-Atlanta graduate and previously worked as a sous chef at Bartaco and as BLT Steak at W Atlanta-Downtown and helped transform CosmoLava Lounge into Foxtrot Liquor Bar.

--The Cook's Warehouse is now open in Peachtree Station in Chamblee at the intersection of Peachtree Boulevard and Johnson Ferry Road ( also home to a new Whole Foods Market ). The store, 50 percent larger than its former Brookhaven location, features cooking products, a teaching kitchen and an outdoor patio for grilling classes and events. Cook's Warehouse will host official grand opening festivities August 24 – 27, with a fundraising dinner to benefit Culinary Futures Aug. 24; a grand opening party Friday, Aug. 25 from 5-8 p.m. featuring restaurateur Ford Fry, food samples, giveaway and cooking demonstration; and knife workshops, product demos and cooking classes throughout the weekend.
