Craig Richards is headed to New York. The executive chef at St. Cecilia came out on top in a reader poll to determine which Atlanta chef would represent this city in a televised cook-off on ABC's food show "The Chew."

In mid-February, Richards will travel to the Big Apple to compete against chefs from Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Chicago and Boston. The winner will be crowned “The Chew’s Best Chef on the Block” and will receive a grand prize of $1,000 and the opportunity to cook on “The Chew” with the show’s co-hosts, Carla Hall, Michael Symon and Clinton Kelly.

ABC’s “The Chew” airs on Channel 2 WSB-TV weekdays at 1 p.m.

Stay tuned for details on how to follow Richards as he represents the ATL in NYC.

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
