Each May since 2006, the Brewers Association has sponsored

American Craft Beer Week

, “the mother of all beer weeks.” The celebration takes place all over the country at breweries, beer bars, restaurants and festivals. This year, the festivities kicked off on Monday and run through Sunday.

In Atlanta, Craft Beer Week events are mostly advertised by word of mouth. But there a plenty of good things going on, including a week of "tap takeovers" at pubs and bars like the Porter Beer Bar in Little Five Points, Midway Pub in East Atlanta and the Wing Cafe in Marietta.

Here are few more Craft Beer Week events going on this week:

On Thursday at 2 p.m., Burnt Hickory Brewery in Kennesaw hosts an Open House tour and tasting, with music by Seattle rockers the Supersuckers.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., Bosom Buds , a beer benefit and live and silent auction to benefit the Georgia Breast Cancer Coalition lands at The Wrecking Bar Biergarten in Inman Park.

On Saturday at 8 a.m., Brick Store Pub in Decatur hosts its annual Pancake Breakfast and Yard Sale with some 30 coffee beers, breakfast plates, and all sorts glassware and beer gear for sale.

Where will you be drinking beer around Atlanta this week? If you know of other Beer Week events, please post them in the comments sections below.
