Some of Georgia's best chefs -- including several with Atlanta ties -- are set to appear at the 2015 Savannah Food & Wine Festival, being held Nov. 9-15 at various spots throughout the city.
The festival, which showcases notables in Southern cooking, cookbook writing, wine, beer and spirits, primarily features chefs from Savannah, but will also loop in Atlanta notables including Empire State South chef Hugh Acheson, who also owns The Florence in Savannah; Todd Richards of White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails; Sean Doty of Bantam & Biddy; and Asha Gomez of Spice to Table. Savannah Haseler of Twain's Brew Pub in Decatur and Eric Ottensmeyer of Paper Mill Grill in Marietta, are both being featured as part of the Rising Star Chefs Dinner on Nov. 14.
Some other festival highlights include The Georgia Grown Trustees Wine Challenge Dinner on Nov. 9; the James Beard Foundation Celebrity Chef Tour on Nov. 11; the Taste of Savannah on Nov. 14; and the Jazz & Bubbles Brunch on Nov. 15.
