A new group of Grant Park residents have a little more bite than your average neighbors.

Four adult female American alligators have joined the Zoo Atlanta's Scaly Slimy Spectacular: The Amphibian and Reptile Experience from the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St. Augustine, Fla.

They've made their home in the exhibit's largest aquatic space, originally reserved as a space for a Cuban crocodile.

The Scaly Slimy Spectacular opened April 2 and features 70 species of reptiles and amphibians. It replaces the old reptile and amphibian house, which was the oldest structure at the zoo.
