The music of "Star Trek" appears to be living long and prospering.

“Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage,” a touring concert featuring footage from the sci-fi franchise’s movies and TV shows, will stop at the Fox on Jan. 30, the theater has announced.

Conducted by Justin Freer, it’s being produced by CineConcerts, whose credits include live-to-projection, symphonic concert experiences such as “The Godfather,” “Gladiator” and soon-to-be-premiered “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

The concert will feature selections from music written for "Star Trek: The Original Series," "Star Trek: The Motion Picture," "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," "Star Trek: Insurrection," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager."

Footage simultaneously will be beamed in high definition onto a 40-foot-wide screen.

A similar event, “Star Wars: In Concert,” has toured the universe in recent years, including a stop at the Arena at Gwinnett in 2009.

“Ultimate Voyage” tickets, $27.50-$47.50, go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 31: 1-855-285-8499, www.foxtheatre.org.
