Atlanta’s Music Midtown is back: Featuring Pink, Billie Eilish and more

Get ready for the return of three days of epic music, also known as Music Midtown! The epic performances will take place from September 15-17 at Atlanta’s Piedmont Park, as first reported by Rodney Ho at the AJC.
This year will be bigger and better than ever with acts like Pink, Billie Eilish, Guns N’ Roses, Flume, The 1975 and Atlanta’s own Lil Baby headlining. You’ll also get to enjoy performances by Pitbull, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Incubus, Niall Horan and ATL’s J.I.D. will also be hitting the stage.
You may remember the festival was canceled last fall. Multiple officials told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution the cancelation happened “in part over the ongoing legal fallout of a permissive gun expansion that was signed into law in 2014.” That state law allowed Georgians to legally carry firearms in new places including public land such as city-owned Piedmont Park. After a 2019 Georgia Supreme Court ruling, it made it more difficult for private groups to restrict guns from short-term events held on public land.
Music Midtown has strictly prohibited guns in the past and it’s reported that their concern over a threat of a lawsuit from gun owners went into the decision of canceling the show.
This year, the festival is back, and not only will fans be able to enjoy good music but also great food from a variety of local eateries, interactive activities, and a Ferris Wheel overlooking the park and a beautiful view of the Atlanta skyline.
Music Midtown will feature more than 40 artists across four stages spanning three days of music. Fans can sign up now for the presale featuring 3-Day tickets and for the first time ever, a limited number of 1-Day Tickets, starting Thursday, May 18 at 10 a.m. at musicmidtown.com. General sale tickets are still available.
