It’s been 25 years since the infamous album and Usher has found the perfect way to celebrate.

Usher’s sophomore album “My Way” is getting ready for its 25th anniversary and Usher is releasing a mini-documentary just in time for it. “Can’t believe it’s been 25 years of ‘My Way....’ Thank you all for being on this journey with me.…” Usher captioned the video he shared, which gave us a sneak peek into the documentary. In the clip, we see commentary from both Usher and his long-time friend and producer, Jermaine Dupri.

“It was the first time as an artist that I just felt confident enough to tell anybody, yo this is what I want to do, this is where I’m at, this is who I am,” Usher starts out saying in the trailer. We then see a bunch of clips of Usher rewinding through time, taking us back to several Usher performances during that time of his career. “The crazy thing about this is, this is the first time I ever produced a solo male artist,” Dupri weighs in during the trailer.

The mini-documentary isn’t the only gift we’re getting from Usher for this celebratory moment. The Atlanta-based artist also announced fans will be getting a “My Way (Deluxe Edition).” “I’m celebrating 25 years of ‘My Way’ with a very special release,” Usher captioned his Instagram post making the announcement. “You can pre-order the deluxe anniversary vinyl edition.… pressed on 180g Silver Cloudy vinyl with all-new album art paying homage to the original cover from 1997 AND exclusive, reimagined tracks.” The deluxe edition will feature instrumental and reimagined recordings of “My Way,” “Nice & Slow,” and “You Make Me Wanna…” with the addition of an updated album cover image that pays homage to the classic 1997 cover artwork. While the vinyl edition is looking closer to a 2023 release date, the digital version will be released Sept. 16.

“This is 25 years of an incredible moment in history. Cheers,” Usher says as he toasts with friends before the trailer ends. You can catch Usher’s “My Way” mini-documentary on his YouTube channel on Sept. 16. See the trailer below for a sneak peek!
