Celebrate International Dog Day with free beer at Eventide Brewing

Join Eventide Brewing on International Dog Day for an afternoon of fun, education, all-natural dog treats and a chance to win free beer for the rest of the year.
The Grant Park brewery is throwing a party on Friday, Aug. 26, complete with vendors, canine treats and free beer for anyone who donates to PAWS Atlanta, a no-kill shelter that provides love and care for orphaned dogs until safe, permanent homes can be found.
The festivities will begin at 4 p.m., and will include fun and interactive pet education from Atlanta Rescue Dog Cafe; healthy and all-natural treats from Big Daddy Biscuits; handmade dog apparel like bow ties from Blue Grasshopper Creations; “pupsicles” from Greatest of All Pops; and an artist on hand to capture unique caricatures of you and your four-legged friend. The festivities will be emceed by Benny the Berner, an Insta-famous Bernese Mountain Dog.
PAWS Atlanta will have adoptable dogs on-site, as well as future volunteering opportunities. In addition to the fun and games, Eventide will be holding a donation drive, and anyone who brings a donation will receive a free pint of their choice! Donation items needed include Hill’s Science Diet adult dog food, newspapers, regular unscented bleach, trash bags (both heavy 55-60 gallon and 13-gallon tall kitchen), Milk-Bones and Kong toys.
Best yet, a dog-owner look-alike contest will be held, with the winner receiving free beer for the rest of 2022! Registration will be from 6-7 p.m., with the competition starting at 8 p.m.
Last but not least, enjoy a beer with your dog. Depending on your dog’s tastes, Eventide Brewing will serve both a “Pooch Pilsner” and “Pooch Porter” (made with chicken broth or beef broth), respectively.
