Quavo and Chloe Bailey to star in new film ‘Praise This’

Now, this sounds like a box office hit!
The choir comedy competition film, “Praise This” has a heavy-hitting cast of superstars – Migos group member Quavo, singer and songwriter Chloe Bailey, comedians Druski and Kountry Wayne, singer and songwriters Koryn Hawthorne and Jekalyn Carr, Tristan Mack Wilds and Anjelika Washington. There are also a few newcomers in the mix including Kiara Iman Heffner and Ilario Grant, Birgundi Baker, Loren Lott, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Cocoa Brown and Vanessa Fraction.
Let’s get into the details of what we know about the movie so far. We know it’s a comedy film focused on youth choirs and it kicked off production right here in Atlanta last month. “Praise This” falls under Will Packer Productions’ first-look deal with Universal. Packer has already seen major success with other productions like “Girls Trip,” “Night School,” both “Ride Along” films and “Little.” If you aren’t familiar with the cast, here’s a little more about several of the stars.
We know rapper Quavo as a Migos group member, singer-songwriter and record producer. Quavo has been on a roll with the movie roles lately, as he was just on set of another movie he’s starring in.

Bailey is half of the singing sensation Chloe and Halle, the duo she’s in with her sister. She’s been branching off with a solo singing career lately with hits like “Have Mercy” and “Surprise.” She’s also starred in the hit show “Grown-ish.”
Hawthorne is a music superstar with accolades such as Billboard Music Award-winning and two-time Grammy-nominated singer of contemporary Christian.
Wilds has been acting for decades now. He currently stars in the Apple TV+ series “Swagger.” He’s widely known for his past role in the critically acclaimed HBO series “The Wire,” Spike Lee miniseries “Miracle Boys” and “The Secret Life of Bees.”
Druski is a comedian who gained popularity on social media – so much popularity that he’s opened for Jack Harlow, collaborated with Drake and Lil Yachty, and even hosted J. Cole’s nationwide tour.
“Praise This” was announced earlier this year as one of three Universal films coming to Peacock in 2023. I can’t wait to see it!
