‘National Battle of the Bands’ announce Migos as performers, without Offset

More and more speculation has been surrounding a Migos breakup and this latest announcement just added more fuel to the fire.
The “National Battle of the Bands” is an annual event that brings HBCU bands together for a competition. They recently announced that Migos will be performing, however, there was one noticeably strange change on the flyer – Quavo and Takeoff were front and center, yet Offset is not on the cover of the announcement. In fact, not only was Offset missing from the flyer, but he was also missing from the images used in the promotional video.
This is just the latest of incidents that have fans speculating if Migos are officially done. It wasn’t long ago that Migos dropped out of performing at the “Governors Ball.” Rumors about the group breaking up actually started back in April when Quavo and Takeoff performed at “Revolve Festival” without Offset. You know it didn’t take long for fans to notice that Offset and his wife, rapper Cardi B, unfollowed his group members, Quavo and Takeoff, on Instagram. More recently, Quavo and Takeoff released new music, under a new name, Unc and Phew. Quavo and Takeoff even dropped their first official single and video under Unc and Phew, Hotel Lobby.

While things with Migos may not be so clear behind the scenes, what is clear is the mission of this important event. The “National Battle of the Bands’” mission is “to enhance the exposure of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their marching bands, the roles they play in educating aspiring musicians and developing our future leaders. Event organizers have generated more than $700,000 in scholarships for the participating colleges and universities.”
