Her life may not be playing out on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” anymore but it is still very much playing out in the public eye.

Nene Leakes has been a headline since gracing our television screens on season one of RHOA, so it comes as no surprise that she’s still one. From the unfortunate passing of her husband to her lawsuit against the Bravo network, Leakes has been the one to keep everyone talking. It seems now though, that the tables have turned – she is now named in a lawsuit filed by her boyfriend’s wife. Yes, you read that right - she is currently dating, Nyonisela ‘Yoni’ Sioh, who is still legally married.

Let’s rewind a little bit so I can tell you how we got here. Leakes’ husband, Greg, passed away in September of last year from colon cancer. A few months later, Leakes seemingly made things Instagram official with Yoni, posing in a couple’s picture that was posted to her page (you can check that out by scrolling to the 5th picture.)

Of course, once his face hit the internet, everyone did a deep dive to figure out who exactly this mystery man was, and that’s where all the drama started. Fast forward to earlier this month, Malomine Tehmeh-Sioh, Yoni’s wife, sued Leakes, claiming alienation of affection and criminal conversation. Yoni and his wife married in 2016 but separated in mid-December of 2021. Per the lawsuit, Tehmeh-Sioh claims she and her husband “enjoyed a genuine happy marital relationship, in which some degree of love, affection, society, companionship, comfort, friendship and favorable mental attitude existed between them,” before Leakes’ “wrongful interference and conduct.” The suit goes on to say Leakes and Yoni “engaged in an ongoing romantic, uninhibited and adulterous affair,” without her “knowledge or consent.”

When asked about her feelings about the lawsuit, Leakes said, “I don’t feel anything. I feel like it’s their business and not mine and I feel like I was dragged into something that is just not my business. They have their own legal thing that’s going on, that’s between them, I shouldn’t have been brought into it... I really think that it’s something that Yoni has to handle himself.”

This isn’t the only lawsuit Leakes is waiting on a resolution for – back in April, she filed a lawsuit against True Entertainment, Truly Original, executives from the companies, “Housewives” executive producer Andy Cohen, Bravo and NBCUniversal. Leakes is alleging that they tolerated and foster a hostile and racist work environment.
